How to Use BandBoost

Your step-by-step guide to promoting shows, growing your fan list, and getting more butts in seats.

Getting Started

Create your account
  • Sign up free — no credit card required.
  • Add your band name, genre, city, and a photo.
  • Your public band page goes live instantly.
Know the north star
  • Everything in BandBoost points at one goal: more butts in seats.
  • Every feature — fan list, checklist, show pages — exists to drive attendance.
  • If it doesn't help fill the room, skip it.

Create Your First Show

Add show details
  • From your dashboard, click 'New Show' in the Upcoming Shows section.
  • Enter date, venue, doors/show time, and ticket link.
  • Upload a flyer image or let BandBoost use your band photo.
One link everywhere
  • Every show gets a unique public link (bandboost.band/show/...).
  • Put that one link in your bio, posts, stories, and DMs.
  • Fans RSVP, you build your list, and the venue sees real demand.

Promotion Checklist

Use the built-in checklist
  • Every show comes with a 17-item promotion checklist.
  • Tasks unlock in phases as the show date approaches — no guessing what to do next.
  • Check items off as you go. Your completion progress shows on every show card.
What the checklist covers
  • Pre-show: posting cadence, fan list announcement, venue repost ask.
  • Show week: reminders, bio link updates, friend DMs.
  • Day-of: 'tonight!' posts, doors-time reminders, last-call RSVPs.
Venue repost request template
  • "Hey [venue]! We're pumped for [date]. Here's our show link — would you mind sharing it with your followers? [link]"
  • Short, friendly, easy for them to copy-paste.
  • Most venues will repost if you make it effortless.

Fan List

How your fan list grows
  • Every RSVP adds a fan to your band's fan list automatically.
  • Fans can also follow your band from your public page.
  • Import existing contacts via CSV if you have a list already.
How to use your fan list
  • When you create a new show, send an email blast to your entire fan list with one click.
  • The bigger the list, the faster your shows fill up.
  • Treat it as your most valuable asset — it belongs to you, not the algorithm.

Show Analytics

See who's seeing your show
  • Every show has a Show Analytics page — open it from the button on each show card.
  • Track page views, unique visitors, RSVPs, shares, and traffic sources (Facebook, Instagram, direct).
  • Use the date range filter (7 days / 30 days / all time) to compare promo pushes.
What to do with the data
  • Low views? Share the link in more places — your bio, stories, group chats.
  • Lots of views, few RSVPs? Tighten your show page copy or flyer.
  • Most traffic from one source? Double down on what's working.

Show Pages — Sharing Best Practices

Make the page work for you
  • Upload your own flyer image — or let BandBoost auto-generate one from your show details.
  • Add a ticket link so fans can buy right from the page.
  • Open your show's Promo Kit for ready-to-share captions, flyers, and links.
  • The page tracks RSVPs in real time, so venues see real demand.
Where to share
  • Instagram bio + stories (link sticker).
  • Facebook event — link back to your BandBoost show page.
  • Group chats, Discord servers, local scene pages.
  • Text it directly to your top 20 fans.

After the Show

Close the loop
  • Post a thank-you with photos/video from the night.
  • Tag the venue and other bands on the bill.
  • Start promoting your next show within 48 hours — momentum compounds.
The next-show loop
  • Book → Promote → Play → Thank → Repeat.
  • Each cycle grows your fan list and your reputation.
  • Venues notice bands that consistently bring people.
