What We Collect

When you create a BandBoost account, we collect your name and email address via our authentication provider. When fans RSVP to a show, we collect their name and email address so bands and venues can communicate about upcoming events.

We also collect basic usage data — page views, RSVP counts, and referral sources — to help bands and venues understand how their shows are performing.

How We Use Your Data

  • To operate your account and display your shows
  • To send announcements and follow-ups on behalf of bands and venues you've RSVP'd to
  • To provide analytics about show performance
  • To send promotion checklist reminders to show creators

Third-Party Services

BandBoost uses the following third-party services:

  • Clerk — Authentication and account management
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery
  • Vercel — Hosting and infrastructure
  • Supabase — Database hosting

Fan Data — In Plain English

This is important, so we're going to be direct:

  • Fan emails are stored solely to power YOUR announcements. That's it.
  • BandBoost will never email fans without the band or venue's explicit action. We have no way to contact them ourselves.
  • Fan data is never shared with other bands, venues, or third parties.
  • Bands and venues can export or delete their entire fan list at any time.
  • Fan data is encrypted at rest.

Your fans are yours. Period.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Fan RSVP data is retained as long as the associated band or venue account exists.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Export your data (fan lists, show data)
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Unsubscribe from any band or venue's email list
